  1. Buddy Russia DID escalate. They started a full scale invasion of another country. NATO takes over countries in months and wins wars. Russia gets bogged down in trench warfare and loses 10s of thousands of men. 1. Diplomatically, yes NATO lost because of a failure to talk with Russia to prevent this invasion from ever happening. 2. Economically, Russia is too poor to ever stand up against NATO. Much of Russia still doesn't have plumbing lmao 3. Militarily, the US alone could obliterate Russia in months with what they have in their current stockpile. The US wouldn't even have to shift its economy to a wartime economy.
