  1. The argument I love to use against people who say “we need to fix the border before we sent anymore money to Ukraine!” Is this. Our politicians have the resources to do BOTH. They just DONT WANT TO! If they argue that point, accuse them of trusting politicians and they get so mad.

You do know that's not how economies work right? Doesn't matter if we gave them 1 trillion dollars. They'd still be the poorest country in Europe. That GDP won't change much. Especially when they're at war and need to spend all that money. Russia has made no meaningful gains in months and has taken thousands of casualties.   15. Here’s the thing. I LIKE that Russia is everywhere. Why? Because they can’t sustain it and stay stable. A country in Russia’s state would not try to be a power outside their own country. People always talk about how the US achieved nothing in Vietnam, but the USSR spent SO MUCH money on supporting North Vietnam, it directly sped up the process of their collapse and their subsequent failure in Afghanistan.

  16.  @WeoXCY  - Russia has been unstable since 1991. Their economy fluctuated frequently, corruption eats them alive, and not to mention their constant wars against neighbors. Russian spreading its influence abroad does not help its problems, and only amplified it. And yes, by USSR standards, they spent a lot. Especially for such a small country. Also the US overthrew the Taliban in 3 weeks and occupied the entire country for 20 years which was 2x longer than the soviets and with 6x less casualties. The US in Vietnam played exclusively a defensive role, as the US feared Chinese intervention like Korea.
