Ukraine is essentially a proxy to NATO. That's how every war in the cold war has been fought. As proxies to either the commies or the USA. This war isn't any different other than the scale.

Every other nation EVEN THE UN has determined casualties are much much higher for Russia. Shit even if you look at combat footage and see how many dead Russians you see in single photos, you realize that the Russians losing about 800 soldiers a day is completely realistic. 18K dead soldiers is just an unrealistic number. Nobody is being fooled. Except for you it seems.
