@johnadam2885 - Gonna answer all of this in one sentence: “Ukraine is not Russia”

@philippevermaut7103 - In Iraq, there were TWO wars the US fought. The US kicked Iraq out of Kuwait (the main objective) and then some with minimal casualties. The second Gulf war was very obviously not about weapons of mass destruction and more about controlling oil export and overthrow saddam and it worked. We still have bases in Iraq. And Korea, “officially” yeah, there was no winner. In reality, Im not seeing a communist Korea. So that WAS a victory, as that was the main goal.

Its gotta be partly about land given that Russia is trying to ANNEX a decent portion of Ukraine.

@johnadam2885 - Ukraine was neutral until Russia decided the EU was somehow a crime. The EU isn’t a military alliance you know? Ukraine is also not Russia’s to command. Not to mention the west liberated the land it took in WW2 while the Soviets annexed it. While it may not be the main aim of this war, it is certainly a major part of it and that can’t be denied. But don’t for even a SECOND blame Ukraine for this.

@philippevermaut7103 - The US absolutely won in Iraq. Twice. Korea was also a win if you consider the goal was to prevent the spread of communism.

@philippevermaut7103 - Don’t even be sarcastic. You already know Russia’s sovereignty isn’t really threatened by Ukraine or NATO. Putin knows it too. This is a power grab war and nothing more. Ukraine is not Russia’s to command. If they wanted Ukraine on their side they shouldn’t have been immediately aggressive towards them.

@philippevermaut7103 - Glad I could be of assistance. Read more up on what actually happened in Iraq and Korea and you’d actually know what happened.

@philippevermaut7103 - Lmfao the Ukrainian and European economies are not comparable. Ukraine doesn’t really need a strong economy as they’re not the ones who need to fight a war away from home. Not to mention the support they get from NATO. Also the European economy is significantly stronger than Russia’s. Idk how you don’t know this. Its obvious. Which is saying something because Europe’s economy is not nearly as strong as America’s.

@philippevermaut7103 - So? Russians struggle to get paid and they have the same demographic issue. This isn’t unique to Ukraine. And debt doesn’t really matter when Russia doesn’t borrow nearly as much. Not to mention the debt payback confidence in Russia is MUCH lower than the EU’s. People make more and own more in the EU. Also I never said Ukraine had a better economy than Russia. But Russia has the same demographic issue that Ukraine does. Look it up.

@winfriedbij684 - Please explain how? The Pro Russian president turned down EU membership against the wishes of the people, then Russia forced them into war. The west gave Ukraine an opportunity to prosper, yet Russia comes in and ruins it just because they want a puppet. They don’t care about Ukraine of Ukrainians. They only care about power.
