How would you feel about US troops coming in to wipe out the cartels? The cartels aren’t like islamic insurgencies as they are driven by money rather than patriotism and it’s possible to actually beat them and dissolve them.

@@tacatacatv7557 - Iraq isn’t Mexico. The problem with bringing democracy to a middle eastern country is their beliefs. Their beliefs can only be fulfilled under a dictatorship. Mexico is already a democracy. We’d just be extra soldiers fighting against your enemy. We’d basically just be an ally fighting a war alongside you. It’s not like we’d be invading your country to overthrow your government. It’s to overthrow those attempting to overthrow your government. The drug war and the war in Iraq i’d say are very different. Plus we have experience with insurgent warfare so we could probably help a LOT!

@slightlyoffensivesob4690 - Tf they supposed to do? Arm themselves and fight the cartels? These people have families. They just can't go fight like their lives have no meaning.

Personally I think we need to send troops into Mexico to fight cartels. This is getting out of hand and it’s affected us as well in a negative way. Cartels are not limited to Mexico.

@@tacatacatv7557 - “Stealing” resources is not what the US did. They took control of them to maintain lower prices. Nothing was stolen, just regulated. Also Mexico, again, isn’t like Iraq as there aren’t many valuable resources there that we don’t have here that can really influence global trade. All im saying is that Mexico’s drug problem really only seriously affects their neighbors.

@@tacatacatv7557 - I don’t think a full US invasion force would be needed. Just an occupation force to help the Mexican government crack down on these cartels. The US would simply be joining the side of Mexico in this war they’ve been fighting for years.

@theforsakeen177 - SADDAM HUSSEIN WAS A DICTATOR TF YOU MEAN DEMOCRACY??? Lmao

@theforsakeen177 - Well the problem is they aren’t actually capable of democracy. Do you see how many terrorist organizations popped up after the democratic government was implemented? Yeah they can have it, but it’s unstable and bound to fail.

@theforsakeen177 - You realize Al Qaeda and ISIS aren’t the inly terrorist groups right? There are many other smaller ones that all arose after the government installed in Iraq. Tunisia is in Africa. Africa is a different situation than the middle east. Africa doesn’t have religious extremists like the Middle East does. They have them, but they’re not really an issue to the point the governments can’t handle them.
