@makarovj6871 - You are aware the goal of most gunfights are to keep the enemy down. You don’t have to kill them to make them retreat.

@makarovj6871 - They are special forces. They know better than both of us. They might be seeing something that we can’t. But at the same time firing slowly won’t keep their heads down as effectively as rapid fire. That’s the whole point if machine guns. To do suppressive fire. Clearly they don’t have those so they have to improvise.
