I've been in and out of of the hospital so many times in the last 18 months I could cry, yet I don't see what there saying, the hospitals aren't filled to capacity. Your absolutely correct but in doing so it's vital they keep a accurate log signed by one with authority to do so and that log and evidence is all part of the Chain of Custody that has to be followed, if not, The courts are specific in theor remedy and that is any evidence that directly involved with a Chain of Custody issue where a link in the Custody Chain has been broken the courts have no discretion. The evidence, if singular, cannot be used for a conviction in the case. If evidence is part of a larger break in the Chain of Custody, all evidence in that particular Chain must be excluded.
