  2. Point is to keep hegemony going and beat the democracy drum louder. Democracy is fully decayed. America knows it. For example, in north america every public property is being defaced or vandalized with graffiti. Bus drivers are being assaulted in canada hundreds. Buses are being smashed. In China nobody does graffiti and vandalize public property. So the decay is very serious. I don't want to touch on crime drugs homelessness poverty and filthy cities. It's too depressing to talk about it. To divert from internal problems USA wants to start war with China about Taiwan despite having and recognizing one china policy for 50 years.
