That area in Ecuador is very big earth quake prone area. Ecuador seismic dept dropped the ball on that one. More study was needed and govt of Ecuador rushed through this project. But wion wouldn't tell you all this. Same thing with Pakistan. There are lot of things in control of nature.

@kunalandevakirubai8136 that's is Ecuador gov't's responsibility to give them clean chit to build the dam. Chinese banks give the low interest loans to developing countries to build infrastructure there. Host country does feasibility study and tells them what to build. China never seizes any country's assets if they default on loan. All developing countries have their internal problems just like Pakistan (Pakistan problems are out of control). They can default on the loan. But western sharks will eat them alive. China gives them self respect and escapes them from western loan sharks. That's why west and India call this thing debt trap. It's not.

@kunalandevakirubai8136 you are dead wrong. China never wanted this virus. By now they could have purpassed usa being biggest economy in the world. India is way way behind China. 150 countries are with BRI. India has to change its mindset if they want to compete with china. In the last 40 years they have done astonishing development and left the whole world in awe. They are creating miracles. Believe me.

Sri lanka could not manage that port by themselves. They did not have knowledge. 81% of sri lanka debt is western debt. You don't know anything about China. Only 11% debt is chinese debt. They build everything durable. India uses 80% of their products. Do not fool me. India is all talk no action. There is lots to be learned from China how to create miracles in 40 years.

In India only top 1% are benefiting with growing indian economy. 50% or 700m indians don't have enough to eat. Indian economy is working for only top 1%. Poor are getting poor. Even middle class is struggling according to UN and devos report. Chinese are buying luxury cars like crazy because they have tons of money. In hunger index india sits 107th place out of 116. Nearly at the bottom. Worst for air pollution. Worst in clean water. Worst in diseases. All holy rivers are most polluted in the world. Chinese have their own international space station. They went to moon and came back independently. They have best trains in the world. Working on 600km/hr meglev. Later will be bumped to 800km/hr. Airplanes fly at 800km/hr. Go figure. Best dams, best bridges, best airports, best subways, best highways. They are testing new airplane c919 that beats boeing and airbus. It's very clean and rich country. India should compare itself to Bangladesh or Pakistan. China is doing much better than America. Believe me.
