@magnumopus1628 He is satirical. He means whoever is of some value to EU can join them to enrich them. Those don't have nothing are garbage for them.

@michaelgrabianowski6567 because NATO wants them in to contain Russia. When they join in EU naturally get their resources. Zelenski few hours ago requested EU to accomodate them immediately. Russia's objection has been holding them so far. Ukraine might have EU and EU will have their resources.

@magnumopus1628 shared values you mean encircle Russia with lethal weapons and humiliate them? They have been expanding constantly eastward for the last 30 years. When Putin demanded security they told him to take a hike. Let me tell you something, powerful countries don't get pushed around so easily. Now you are seeing it in front of your eyes.
