In this case, Russian officials are not accused of closing exits and switching off the alarm system; they are accused of lacking the will to be technologically advanced as to protect civilians against building fires like this one.

  5. Александр Донской, Only criminal murderers close the doors of a public facility and put it on fire. If greedy businessmen are to blame in this case, it is for the lack of alarm and sprinkling systems or for their inefficiency. The findings of an official investigation should clarify the case.

  7. The West is creating trouble for Putin who checked them on various fronts hoping that Russia is just another Soviet Union. Protesting the absence of alarm and sprinkling systems is just meant to distract attention away from the cause of the fire. Perhaps the authorities could produce evidence that this case is one of arson.
