So when the second promise will come to pass, (We/Allah shall permit our slaves/your enemies) to disfigure your faces, and to enter the Masjed as they had entered it before, and to subdue your arrogance. {8} عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يَرْحَمَكُمْ وَإِنْ عُدْتُمْ عُدْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيرًا It may be that your (Children of Israel's) Lord (Allah) may (yet) show Mercy unto you; but if ye revert (to your sins) We (Allah) shall revert (to Our punishments): and We (Allah) have made Jahannam a prison for the disbelievers.
