Al-Massjid Al-Aqssa is the core of the Holy Land issue
Allaah will send servants of great military might to render a promise fulfilled
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And We (Allaah) conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, "You will surely cause corruption in the (Holy) Land twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness.
So when the [time of] promise came for the first of them, We (Allaah) sent against you servants of Ours - those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled.
Then We (Allaah) gave back to you a return victory over them. And We reinforced you with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower.
"If you (Jews) do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves." Then when the final promise becomes due, [We (Allaah) shall send out your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the Massjid (Al-Aqssaa), as they entered it the first time, and to destroy (your) haughtiness with [total] destruction.
It may be that your (Jews') Lord (Allaah) will have mercy on you, but if you repeat (the crime) We (Allaah) shall repeat (the punishment), and We (Allaah) have appointed Jahannam a dungeon for the disbelievers.

Al-Masseehu Eessa Ibnu Maryam will join the prayers at Al-Massjid Al-Aqssa
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Umm Sharik bint Abi Akar said: 'O Messenger of Allaah, where will the Arabs be that day?' He said: 'On that day they will be few, and most of them will be in Baitul-Maqdiss (Jerusalem), and their Imaam (Leader) will be a righteous man. When their leader has stepped forward to lead them in subh (Fajr or Dawn) prayer, Eessa Ibnu Maryam will come down to them. Their leader will step backwards so that Eessa can come forward and lead the people in prayer, but Eessa will place his hand between his shoulders and say to him: "Go forward and pray, for the Iqaamah was given for you." Then their leader will lead them in prayer. When he has finished, Eessa, will say: "Open the gate." So they will open it and behind it will be the the Dajjaal with seventy thousand Jews, each of them carrying an adorned sword and wearing a greenish cloak. When the Dajjal looks at him, he will start to melt as salt melts in water. He will run away, and Eessa will say: "I have only one blow for you, which you will not be able to escape!" He will catch up with him at the eastern gate of Ludd, and will kill him.

Chosen to be tested and Promised to be exposed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moossa said to his people, "O my people, remember the favor of Allaah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds.
O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allaah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allaah's cause] and [thus] become losers."
They said, "O Moossa, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter."
Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allaah had bestowed favor, "Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allaah rely, if you should be believers."
They said, "O Moossa, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here.
[Moossa] said, "My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people."
[Allaah] said, "Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years [in which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people.""
