I am a blood donor and I have been doing that for a very long time. Before giving blood a nurse in an office has to ask some health-related questions and draw blood from a finger to check for iron levels to make sure the donor's blood can coagulate. So in the spring of 2022, the nurse asked me if I identified as a man or a woman. I was so taken aback by this idiotic question I asked her "What!?" The nurse said she had to ask questions in the form. I told her that I had never been asked that question in my life before. Nobody ever confused me for a woman even if I only spoke on the phone. And I understand nurses just do what they tell them because they don't want to lose their job, they don't want to have more problems in their lives. I told her that if I ever wanted to change my sex I would let them know for sure. Despite all that I went ahead and did my blood donation and the same thing happened for the next 2 or 3 donations. After that, they dropped that question and never asked it again. When I was giving blood, I asked the nurse who serving me what happened to that question and she told me that some people were so pissed off that this question was asked they just took off and left. So Canadian Blood Services probably lost a few thousand blood donors because of this woke nonsense. I can tell you 100% that this came from the few on the top - not from the majority of the people.
