@Immurement How's that working out for you now during corona virus? Trump just gave the richest people and corporations $4.2 trillion dollars that they don't need. Now when all mom and pop shops go under water, these corporations and rich people will buy businesses and mortgages at a fire-sell prices when only they have money to do so. And Republicans and useless Democrats voted for this horrible bill. Boeing can't even build airplanes. Their airplanes fall from the sky. They wasted all their money Trump gave them in tax breaks on stock buy backs instead of spending it on their workers or R&D and now, tax payers are bailing them out again like Wall Street was bailout in 2008.

It's called socialism for the rich. Talk to me about your free market garbage 6 months from now.

redred I agree with that. There shouldn’t be profit incentive in healthcare - it’s immoral. And single payer is almost 2x cheaper than healthcare system in the US and everyone is covered, so it’s pretty much no brainer.

@ramsdell3562 Just look at what the congress and the senate did in the 1st corona virus "relief" bill. They gave $5 trillion dollars to the corporations and to 1% and regular people will get only $1200 which is their tax credit. $1200 is not even UBI, it's your own f#cking money and they used it to loot the treasury for the richest people and corporations. All those cruise-ship companies that registered their headquarters in other countries to evade US taxes, came back to the US to get bailed out! And they all got bailed out! And regular people got peanuts and Democrats and Republicans all voted for it. So they US tax payers subsidize their own robbery. US tax payers subsidize their own screwing over by the rich and corporations. 50% of small businesses are predicted to go belly up and imagine all the mortgages that will default because people have no jobs or money during corona crisis and only people who have the money to buy them are huge corporations, so this will lead to further consolidation of money and power. In 2-3 years time the US will look like Brazil.

Wait till you get an avalanche of mortgage foreclosures and rent evictions and richest people buying distressed assets for peanuts and everybody else getting a shaft. Have fun!
