  3. The most popular machine guns are Russian AK-47 and M16. AK-47 is about $300 and M16 is about $1600. M16 jams very often. There were stories from Vietnam vets who took 1 shower in a few weeks but they cleaned M16 all the time because they ere afraid that the may jam in a firefight. AK47 can be thrown at the bottom of a river, a tank can run over it and it will still work. It just shows the difference between a capitalist and a socialist system. The manufacturers of M16 are perfectly happy that M16 breaks so easily because they only care about profit. Vietnam vets also said they just discarded M16 and used AK. Taliban who mostly used AK defeated the US in Afghanistan and it’s just a guerrilla force - they don’t have tanks, planes, cruise missiles and they defeated the most powerful army in the world.
