  1. What if MMT is wrong and printing $ every time a crisis hit will lead us to a new one even worse than the great depression? Gold could not be valued AAA by greedy banks and viewed as "safe heaven" and turn into shit 3 years after, it is just gold. Moreover, gold mines are +- evenly spread on the planet, and production is regulated by its price. Not to say gold returned 8.72% annualized since 12/31/1999 while SPX 6.58% (with divs reinvested in the Index). I always liked this about most of the analysts, they take whatever index they like to pursue their thought :D
