You are absolutely correct, I think most people were shocked and disappointed to see police on their knees and being chased away. Just beggars belief and does not bode well for the future. M

The BBC is engaged in manipulating people into their completely biased world view. Fortunately people are aware now and many disagree with their leftist narrative and resent being forced to pay for it. It is coming to an end and it couldnt be too soon.
17
@jordyblues1293 Unfortunately that is very true, nobody genuinely feels other people's pain like their own.
16
I think many people feel the same. There just isn't one and it is not being untruthful to say our country is falling apart around us.
16
@jenniferwilgar7485 It is not an irrational fear ask any minority in a predominantly Islamic country if their fear is irrational or based on facts.
15
You would think that ordinarily but the church Cof E, seem to take on a lot of woke values even some that contradict their own.
15
To see British police on their knees for looters and rioters is truly heartbreaking. How is this being allowed to happen?
15
@DorothyLord-jq2tx As many have already said inept is not a big enough word it doesn't take into account the blatant knowing corruption.
15
Anyone issuing death threats against this vocal minority would be arrested. Again 2 tier policing.
14
@iainmrodgers9991 Negative are you serious, they know who is making the threats and they are still freely walking around.
14
And they wonder why Labour got wiped out at the last election. People held their noses as they voted for the conservatives and the identity politics crap is a huge reason why.
14
If if if, this guy still doesn't get it. It is not racist to not want mass immigration. Multiculturalism is not working, that is just a fact. He is walking a tightrope to nowhere and I think he knows it.
14
When things go to shit suddenly to be patriotic again is seen as a good thing eg Ukraine. Nobody is talking about toxic masculinity now when everything you love is at risk of being just taken away. How quickly the facade disappears when there are real existential problems.
14
This is such a bad precedent to set. It seems you can blatantly break the law, in front of those paid to enforce it, if whatever regime is in power agrees with your idealogy. You cannot correct the wrongs of history, that time has passed. There is not one human being amongst the 8 billion of us who can live anywhere but in the present. To try to apply todays moral standards to the past is simply an exercise in futility. The best anyone can ever hope for is to do what is right now, but that shouldn't include denying the past or applying todays standards to it.
14
@Ninjacostar I agree anyone who believes in justice has every right to be angry, that was my whole point.
14
This is getting scary now, in a million years I did not see this coming. So now we can voice our opinion on every religion or idealogy except Islam. I would genuinely like to know what makes that particular religion that is one of the three Abrahamic religions an exception?
14
@Dianej1951 Yes indeed, it has really cost him on so many levels.
13
There is not a snowballs chance in hell that Starmer will agree to a national enquiry.
13
Simply a fact but one we cannot change as our politicians do not want to.
13
Therein is the problem, millions of pounds to find out everything is actually hunky dory even though it isn't.
13
I agree it should be disturbing but it has become so common it is acceptable. Of course that doesn't apply if it is a white person talking about anyone of colour for whatever reason, that is just racism regardless of the context. .
13
Yes in a just and perfect world, but we are so far away from that it is so disheartening.
12
In regard to blasphemy laws nobody is even thinking about the Windrush generation.
12
Thankfully they don't have to see how their great sacrifices have been shat on.
12
And man was that fog thick and nasty.
11
And in a self promoting narcissistic way. I wonder who wears the trousers in that house hold? No I don't really it is blatantly obvious.
11
Yes absolutely but if you only see the legacy media you wouldn't know that.
11
This denial has been going on for literally decades. The politicians are doing themselves no favours in this constant denial or excuse making, the public are well aware of the truth now and the situation must be addressed as it will only become worse if not.
11
If someone is dragging you out of a burning building that has just been bombed I feel quite sure they wouldn't care to much if you got their pronoun wrong. Or put simply things will be put into perspective when times are not so easy.
11
The only diversity we don't seem to have is that of ideas in that you are basically forced to accept the same idealogy. I do believe that this insanity is a fad which will pass but my concern is how much damage it will cause until it has.
11
Only complete morons would try to erase a country's history. It didn't bode well for Pol Pot and it won't for us or anyone else.
10
passius1 Is their an organization called WLM , apparently we are not even allowed to say it.
10
Awaatif Tifloen Who is insulting any prophet here. People are just saying Islamic blasphemy laws should only apply to people of that faith and nobody else. I think that is totally reasonable. As for the societal problems you mentioned sadly they exist everywhere.
10
Performative anger and emotion sums it up perfectly.
10
Exactly but I think your sarcasm has gone over the heads of many people. They have turned their backs on these disgusting crimes out of fear of being called racist which makes the perpetrators feel like they have free reign, hopefully things are now changing.
10
The fortress Britain is sadly the only possible way of limiting illegal migration. The huge numbers that are prepared to risk everything to enter Europe are simply not sustainable. When they talk about safe and legal routes they never give a number that is sustainable that the infrastructure can manage. It cannot manage now so the very idea seems not to have been thought through very well.
10
@JudgeMatty It is getting scary and I genuinely have a problem coming to terms with the insanity that seemingly gets worse by the day.
9
Totally agree, how can one religion have rules to protect it that do not apply to any other religion. They are taking us down a dark road that clashes with free speech which is a pillar of democracy.
9
Sorry Stu, it is not you they wish to protect. It is you and me and many like us whose voices they want to cancel for having the audacity to think for ourselves and then being more audacious in thinking we have a right to voice our opinions.
9
What a perfect definition of the current madness we are being forced to endure.
9
Boris Johnson has been even more disappointing than I thought was possible. If he was a horse he would be a gelding.
9
Yes agree, I simply see no party I would be happy to vote for. It is like you hold your nose whilst choosing the least damaging knowing full well their manifestos will never be kept to, as they didnt mean them in the first place.
9
The complete insanity of where our esteemed civil service spends tax payer money. It is bewildering to say the least but we are not even supposed to know about it. It will not go on forever because the whole system will implode under the strain.
9
@jenniferwilgar7485 Thankyou it is nice to talk to people like yourself who are prepared to be reasonable and at least listen to other people's views. Our society is so divisive now, if people are not prepared to have civil conversations we will never solve any of our problems. Thanks again.

They seem to be willingly blind to that outcome. Wokism and reality is a very bad mix.
8
Well in comparison to Biden anything just has to be better if not the Western world as we know it is over.
8
@stuartsteel1 Exactly what I thought too.
8
It is strange when they talk about slavery they only talk about western slavery despite the fact that Britain played a major role in abolishing slavery.
8
He wasn't teaching religion, so how does it make a difference?
8
I think it is more just common sense and to be able to question things that don't feel right ie critical thinking
