@jenniferwilgar7485 Obviously I am not saying everyone who follows the Islamic faith is an Islamist but if you follow that faith to the letter you do end up with things like what happened to the Yazidis where thousands were slaughtered and children were sold into slavery and into forced marriages etc. To fear that is not irrational. The religion demands total subjugation, there is not you follow your faith and we will follow ours and we will all rub happily along . It is the very opposite of that and to fear that is not irrational it would be irrational not to fear that. The slaughter of the Yazidi community was very close to a total genocide.

@jenniferwilgar7485 It is not an irrational fear ask any minority in a predominantly Islamic country if their fear is irrational or based on facts.

@jenniferwilgar7485 Thankyou it is nice to talk to people like yourself who are prepared to be reasonable and at least listen to other people's views. Our society is so divisive now, if people are not prepared to have civil conversations we will never solve any of our problems. Thanks again.

Islamaphobia is a made up word and anybody who accepts it just doesn't understand they are being played. It is possible to have reasons to fear the Islamic faith but they would be legitimate rational reasons and cannot be described as a phobia and indeed no other religion has the word phobia attached to it.
