There is a political need to say that the ridiculously unnecessary EV's are safe because that helps to perpetuate the need to stop fuel emissions that are "causing" the non existent climate crisis.
Governments have been duped, by false and forged data, into wasting millions in "controlling the climate" - something which is impossible, our planet is it's own master - as all non-idiots know.
There are also, surprisingly, many politicians and (already) super-rich, who are making an absolute fortune out of "green agenda" actions and proposals.
EV cars are money makers, for those that pull OUR strings and nobody is allowed to kill the cash-cow.
EV cars are unnecessary, money makers - that's the bottom line.
EV cars need charging - that plug on the garage wall does not release CO2 - the owners all feel good about that and the vehicle does not have an exhaust pipe!
The electricity used, is generated, for the benefit of all these hoodwinked EV owners, by power stations releasing CO2 somewhere else!
Using fossil fuels. "Renewables" contribute VERY little, to the grid - it's not always windy and there's no sun at night.
The EV drivers (because they have been TOLD!), even BELIEVE, that CO2 is causing damage - but apparently, not many of them are scientists, or people who can do research and think for themselves!
EV cars ARE inherently unsafe, do nothing to save a planet, that does not need saving but they do an awful lot of financial good, for the greedy shareholders and "climate concern" profiteers.
It WAS an EV that ignited and caused so much damage (diesel does NOT do that!) but nobody is allowed to know it was an EV.
So it wasn't - that was clear BEFORE the investigation - because the investigation brief is to exonerate battery vehicles. The result is known beforehand - The Warren Report, all over again!
But real people DO know that EV's burst into flames, at inconvenient times. Many will remember the lithium batteries in "a well known brand of mobile phone", a few years ago? The airlines remember it.
Lithium is the third most reactive metallic element and will burn fiercely, when given sufficient oxygen. When it gets wet it produces hydrogen gas - which ignites, with the heat,
Battery case failures enable the metal to get plenty of oxygen and once ignited, more air is drawn in!
Diesel does not burn like that - so this is just a further case of the public being treated like gullible idiots.
(Sadly, too many gullible members of that public have already been taken in and are driving these things and are reluctant to admit, to themselves, that they have fallen for the hype).
