  1. Yes, this currently popular, style is just a trend, like the "Van Halen" type tapping that "everyone" in a rock band seemed obliged to copy, in the 80's. It became tedious - as does this. This is just a practised technique - it doesn't make anyone the "greatest guitarist" - for that you want Tommy Emmanuel, who can play any style, any technique - acoustic or electric- AND MAKE MUSIC! Listen to Tommy's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" - for technique AND musicianship - flawless and beautiful.

  5. I watched your video first, then went to the Rolling Stone website. You work backwards through the list - (the grouping scroll - 75 to 50 etc - is not working) and found it tedious and the content unrealistic. Clapton at 35, with relative "unknowns" above him? Are Frank & Vinny on the list?? Too much like hard work to scroll through a list of names that are remarkable by being unremarkable. The list is a joke and taking it seriously is not possible.
