V6 was/is a brilliant engine. The V10 broke crankshafts due to it's immense power. Very few of them sold over here - the V6 was a much better option. I had two and they were superb cars but the Mk2 suffered corrosion issues. The Mk1 boot opening mechanism failed and to replace it (myself) required a massive dismantling of the rear along with a lot of electrical splicing. Both models required dismantling of the front if you needed to change a Xenon. A full days work. BUT - would I have another - YES I loved the cars, they were very classy, very comfortable and surprisingly economical, for a two tonner.

I can answer that - my brother bought the V8 SE + top spec, from a franchised dealer. It was in and out of the dealership (brother in Manchester area - dealer near Carlisle!) - back and forth, back and forth. That car could almost drive the M6, on it's own! When it "ran out" of warranty, it started to hit his wallet - big-style - suspension units, brake lines, electrical issues (too many to mention). It was a pleasant car to drive (a bit lardy!) and very nice to be driven in - special even - but it was so unreliable. And an unreliable car - at the price he paid!!!! Shameful! He found a good (ex-dealership) specialist, who knew the vehicles inside out and the chap said that - yes - they are unreliable but people like them?? A cheaper workshop and a more knowledgeable mechanic (NOT a "fitter") but the car was inherently badly built. (Check the crazy routing for the brake lines!). He got rid and bought a Korean estate car - NEVER missed a beat - not even a fuse of a light bulb needed. Even the annual car surveys slate them (justifiably) and a couple of years back, the "small version" was voted the least reliable car on the UK roads. Yes - sitting in it was like being in a "men's club" - with all the leather and wood - but as the old song goes - it was a "no-go showboat".

Have HAD a lot of respect for your opinions and videos - UNTIL NOW!!! This is "the best car on the road"??? "All you''ll ever want"???? It is, according to all the used car surveys and the providers of independent warranties, one of the LEAST RELIABLE AND MOST EXPENSIVE USED CARS, TO OWN, RUN AND REPAIR. You have proven that, WITH YOUR MASSIVE BILLS - how can you possibly defend these badly built, unreliable, lardy, ungainly chunks of metal. Remove the blinkers, from around your rose-tinted glasses!

SOON - you will regret not buying the "T". It will be on account of your wallet!

AT LAST!!! Somebody who points out that the engine is not the only item to check thoroughly, on a high mileage vehicle. Very clearly put!!

Or possibly not?
