  1. Lionel Messi airbus has a plan A321++ and it will arrive earlier than 797. Airbus just don't want to hype it because they will rather sell A321LR now instead of airlines waiting for tha A321++. But airbus has been asking airliners what they actually want and if the A321++ design is able to fulfill it. 40% of the airliners thinks A321++ is good enough and able to fulfill their future needs. So airbus is just waiting for Boeing to commit into making 797 before making A321++ official.

  2. Patchuchan unless you fill the cabin with hydrogen that will not happen. Hydrogen need large tanks and large tanks are heavy. It will be cheaper to run planes with synthetic fuel than to run it with hydrogen. Hydrogen is only useful in space.

  3. Marvin Meins you need a new production line for the 797 anyway. Unless 797 is using a 787 frame with a smaller wings and can be produced on the 787 production line.

  4. Airbus actually has an answer A321++. It will be a re-wing stretch out A321. Some call it A322 the wing will be composite and it will stand taller to fit a larger more efficient engine. This plane will be the true 757 replacement since 797 is slightly larger and more comparable to 767.
