@SolidSiren This is the wrong conclusion. Proper interpretation should be that politically charge subjects are independent of people's numeracy. You are forcing an assumption that the numeracy correlation works in all subjects. But the study clearly shows that some subjects have no correlation to numeracy. Numerate people are not doing worse they are doing about the same with non-numerate people when the study subject involves politics. The study has a subtle lead by introducing the cream study first. Deceiving you that numeracy correlation is the norm and then pulled a wrong conclusion with the second study where numeracy correlation is false. The deception is subtle designed to fool everyone unless you are familiar with step by step proof in mathematics.

If I was presented that data I will say it is fake because the control group has less number then the experimental group. Why would you design your experiment with a very obvious bias like that.

@SolidSiren People with the highest numeracy is about the same with people with the lowest numeracy there is a dip in the middle slightly biased to above average numeracy but that is completely different to the conclusion that the higher the numeracy the worse are the result. They are claiming linear correlation when the curve is non linear and about flat in first order approximation. Whoever conducted the study was bad at doing science.

@SolidSiren On politically charged subject people with numeracy is about the same as people with less numeracy. They are not performing worse they are performing about the same.
