  1. The only way to stop housing crisis is to build more houses. Anyone trying to stop building more houses is motivated to keep the price of houses high. If they are arguing to stop the building affordable houses because it is finance by expensive houses. So they would rather people sleep on the streets instead of having additional supply of houses. Their choosing to keep all houses expensive instead of having a small portion allocated to be affordable. Yes they could argue for higher portion of affordable houses but if they argue to stop construction of more houses then their motivation is clearly to keep the prices high.
