  1. There is no contradiction he is merely reporting statements from competing businesses. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I don't believe the hype of solid state batteries but I also don't believe that they are completely unviable. Solid-state batteries can be made to work but their performance is nowhere near revolutionary.

  2. LFP is very stable. Lithium in Li Ion batteries are not isolated. They are either embedded inside the graphite anodes chemically attached to lithium salts or intercalated in the metal oxide. Metal oxides are flammable but Iron phosphate which replaces metal oxides as cathodes in LFP are not flammable.

  3. Solid state electrolytes have no structural property. The metal foils that serve as current collectors are the most structural part of a cell.
