  1. There is no benefit of launching from random airports unless the airport is in the equator. You want to launch at the equator because it is there where the energy needed to reach orbit is the lowest.

  2.  @carholic-sz3qv  Once you are at the equator you can put satellites into any orbit at minimum energy. There is no need to be anywhere the most direct path to any orbit is in the equator. Orbits are not constrained by earths geography you can go anywhere if you launch from the equator. Being anywhere other than the equator just increases the time you reach orbit.

  3. Also you cannot launch anytime or you end up in the wrong orbit. Time is very big constraint in where you end up in orbit. You must launch at a specific time window to get to a specific orbit. Orbital mechanics is completely different than terrestrial navigation. When is what gets you somewhere. Where is just an adjustment in timing window and payload mass. If you are not at the equator then you arrive later and must launch earlier and since you will be in flight longer you either need more fuel or reduce your mass.

  4. Qwarzz Yes they can expand the nozzle of the raptor vacuum but they have no space for it in the starship. Also the nozzle have regenerative cooling and making it bigger becomes a problem since you now have to cool a much larger surface area.
