I think you give a fair idea of what middle and upper class women were wearing but contemporary descriptions that I’ve seen cast doubt in my mind That women’s costume of those living in dwellings such as the one pictured would be near so elaborate on average. I think for many you could be talking about only one garment and bare feet.
