  1. First race: How could that heavy M5 with same hp keep up with that Z06? Last race: How could that Porsche with 230 hp less keep up with that ZR1? In both races the Corvette drivers had faster reaction times and still so close?

  2. +Jaime Moreno I would imagine the Vette would win, despite the M4's more modern chassis and DCT. I mean drag racing should be the strongest side of ZR1. But I guess if you get even one gear change wrong (as this guy did) then your toast against these modern and fast shifting cars. The last gen Corvette, even ZR1, was a bit scary close to the limit. The tendency to oversteer was always there, and it was crazy fast only in the hands of pro drivers, Many times the average driver would driver faster and with more confidence in a better sorted sports car with less hp than in a ZR1. But the new gen Vette is fantastic, specially the base model with the Z51 package. The Z06 seems to need some improvement for all the overheating issues. Sadly Chevrolet pulled out of Europe just as their products were getting interesting.

  3. Nate Weikal Yes, Veyron is expensive but Mercedes get 360hp out of a small 2L gas engine in their A AMG model. I don't think Mercedes engines are going to break down so easily.

  4. They don't race against each other. It's all about top speed and time. That's why they can start a few seconds apart. And the GTR driver slowed down once he saw the smoke in front of him.
