  1. +bud ley  Now I know the but hurt feeling Audi fans get every time an Audi loses to a BMW on a twisty road course or track. We know all Audi cars (not R8 ) have built in understeer thanks to the faulty design which puts the entire engine in front of the front axle. That is why all Audi cars push in the corners and understeer so much and makes them lose to BMW, despite often having more power, like Mercedes cars.  Thanks to torque vectoring and a lot of electronics Audi cars understeer less than before but it's still there (just look at the new RS3). I've come to look at Audi as a luxury 4x4 or a high-end European Jeep. I hear the excuses but know why Audi never will be a drivers car. Now I'm but hurt but comfort myself with the drag race being in wet condition :)

  2. So you put 2 RWD sports cars against a 4x4 in wet conditions? Was this an Audi ad? Most of Audi's ads are about being safe in sow and wet conditions. No wonder many in cold weather places think about buying Audi when they start family. A 4x4 with build in understeer. Can it be safer? In other words it has turned to a luxury 4x4, a high-end European Jeep. I guess Chris Harris is right about the new breed of Lamborghini cars only being bought by people who can't drive. It makes sense since Audi has turned Lambo to a more expensive Audi with the same built in understeer.

  3. Next time do it on snow and ice. And to be really sure of the outcome, put slicks on both BMW. And STILL call it a drag race :)
