Have you even read Michel Foucault's Discipline and Punishment? Because that work of postmodernism is a critique of power structures. Especially since power structures, according to Foucault, function like a prison system; for instance, the way that schools, hospitals, workplaces, the military, asylums and so on, tend to create strict orderly conduct and conditioning for obedience than to think critically. Now that's simply one example of what postmodernism is about. Other areas that postmodernism critiques is literature, art, architecture, and politics.
