  1. China doesn’t want the cold Arctic. It is Russia’s idea for a stronger navy presence in the Arctic. This is the reason this alliance is called an “understanding”. Chinese “understand” this presence for Russia in case a war broke out in the Arctic. China doesn’t have any Naval base in the cold Arctic. And it is easier to challenge India technology at Indian Ocean than to challenge European technology in the Cold Arctic for China.

  3. India will need more aircraft carriers to join the cold Arctic. India will not have enough aircraft carriers to go around.
