I can’t tell you about restaurants because most are closed due to high crimes in the U.S. Even when high tech jobs are getting heavy lay-offs, there are still plenty of service jobs available and the pay is very demanding for services. I could easily make $6,000-$8,000 a month in the U.S. working in service sector jobs.
