There are large Chinese communities living outside of China. Some These Chinese communities speaks English. And they are concerned for Chinese subjects. Also, there are local dialects spoken instead of Mandarins in China. Only a few protesters from Hong Kong don’t want to be part of China. However, these Hong Kong people don’t have any choice because no other country can take them. If someone leased your house, isn’t it reasonable to return to you after the lease expired? Or you believe the person that lease your house can legally own it? Hong Kong belongs to China legally.

People in China knows the laws just as people in democratic country knows their own laws. Protesting without authorization in China is against the law. China just protected their own laws for the rest of the citizens. China has 1.44 billion citizens. How many protesters that could disrupt 1.44 billion citizens? Don’t use an democratic way to view a none democratic country. You need to explain why protester in India get attacked by tear gas. Isn’t India a democracy? Isn’t protecting in a democracy country legal? However, it is wrong for India to claim democracy which they are not. Sanctioning freedom of speech is not democracy.
