The word Khan derives from Han, a dynasty that defeated the Hun in Mongolia grass land. When China’s Taoism arrived pre-Han dynasty, Buddha was not even born yet.

Pronunciation are local dialects and not uniform. This means Indians doesn’t know how to pronounce Mongolia dialects. The closest Indian gets to contact Mongolia was under Mogul rules.

  26.  @AbhinandanABS  Yes. Correct. In case if you are ignorant on geopolitic: The Qing Empire defeated the Dzungar Mongol and received control of Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet. In 1756, the Mongol Dzungar surrendered to Qing Emperor Qianlong after Mongol Prince Dawachi was captured. This is the reason Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet are ruled by China.
