My father was a British citizen, my mother a British subject. I was born in place called Dunham Flats, Quebec. A younger brother of mine was born a Chester Abel A. in VT. He passed away young. All of us children were born solely British subjects, as Great Britain had total jurisdiction over us, no matter where we were born.
