Fani will not be disqualified.
First off, having an office romance isn't an issue. There's plenty of couples who practice law together. As long as both are on the same side, that's no a problem. Only if it was something like a prosecutor and one of the defense or the judge would that be an issue.
Second, thanks to Republicans pushing, the divorce files were unsealed, which proved that Fani wasn't involved with him. Her name didn't come up once in the hundreds of documents unsealed.
Third, they claimed that Fani and him took vacations together on the taxpayer dollar. Well again, because they pushed, financials were looked at which proved that he went on vacation and paid for it himself. No taxpayer money was spent. And there is zero evidence than Fani went with him.
Fourth, they complained that he's being paid vastly more than he should because of their "relationship" (which has been proven not to exist). Except that he's getting paid the standard going rate for prosecutors. And in fact he could be paid far more, so he's actually underpaid for the work he's doing.
Fifth, they also said that Fani picked him specifically (again because of the non-existent relationship). But Fani's documents proved that she had approached dozens of other prosecutors before him. It's that the others didn't want to take the case because of the defamation and attacks by the orange traitor and Republicans. He was the only one willing to do the job and uphold the law.
So Republicans literally destroyed their own slanderous accusations by pushing this nonsense.

First, there is no conflict of interest when two people on the prosecution are involved. There's plenty of couples who work law together. As long as both as on the prosecution or defense, there's no issue. It's only an issue if a prosecutor is involved with a defense attorney or the judge.
Second, Fani already showed that she went through many candidates before selecting Wade. He was simply the first to agree to be a part of the case.
Third, he actually took a PAY CUT to work the case. So the claim that she is paying him extra due to some relationship is beyond idiotic.
Fourth, there's no evidence of taxpayer dollars being used for personal reasons.
Fifth, it's nobody's business who she sleeps with. But of course, in America a man can sleep with thousands and not a word is said... but if a woman sleeps with ANYONE it's suddenly headline news and she's shamed for it.
Sixth, the defense attorneys are claiming that she lied about her relationship (which was none of their business) and that makes her unqualified to hold a position of power.
Right... so the orange traitor then, who has been proven to have told over 30,000 unique lies during his only failed term in office... should naturally be barred for life from ever holding office, right?

It's beyond insane how truly STUPID right wingers are. Anyone who is idiotic enough to be concerned over a stove, while children are being slaughtered in the streets and raped by Republicans, is beyond saving.
First off, THERE IS NO BAN.
This was a study, which reinforced data showing that gas stoves are harmful to children. That the fumes from them cause a host of life long disabilities, and can even be lethal. And it offers RECOMMENDATIONS on how such stoves could be IMPROVED to have less leakage and be more efficient. That's it. Recommendations. No bans. No mandates. No laws. Just tips for manufacturers on how to better build their stoves so they're less harmful, cheaper to make, and more cost effective, which means more profit for the companies making them.
Second, less than 8% of Americans still own gas stoves.
So even if there were actual policies coming out of this, it would impact a tiny portion of the populace. Though again, there are not.
Third, most stove manufacturers have stopped producing gas stoves because electric ones have simply been cheaper, more efficient, and safer, so it's been more profitable for them to focus on making those.
But there are people stupid enough to believe that for some reason the government is trying to ban stoves. Just because Republicans KNOWINGLY lie about it.

So here's the facts.
First, about the use of force, that's been the standard protocol for over 20 years. It was in absolutely no way added to go after the orange traitor (who isn't worth going after anyway as Biden is kicking his ass again).
Second, the orange traitor WAS NOT PRESENT when the FBI were carrying out their legal search warrant. Because they had worked out WITH HIM a day for them to show up, in plain clothes, when he wouldn't be there... SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE. He knew exactly when they were coming. And they bent over backwards to try and keep it under wraps, no FBI symbols, no uniforms, etc...
Third, when the FBI searched President Biden's residence, THEY HAD THE SAME PROTOCOL, plus he was actually present at the time, because unlike the orange traitor, he was co-operating fully. It's not like President Biden is trying to have himself assassinated.
Fourth, President Biden had nothing to do with the search warrant being carried out. He doesn't give the DoJ marching orders, which the orange traitor was proven to have done. Biden is hands off, as a President should be.
Fifth, the orange insurrectionist's own lawyers argued before the SCOTUS that the sitting President has absolute immunity to order the assassination of his political rivals, so even if Biden DID have anything to do with any of this, which he didn't... by the logic of Republicans, that would be perfectly acceptable.

"20 times more documents"
Lie. The orange traitor had THOUSANDS of stolen documents WHICH HE REFUSED TO RETURN.
Biden found several misplaced docs and IMMEDIATELY turned them over and cooperated fully in an investigation to make sure nothing else was overlooked.
"I'm allowed under the Presidential Records Act"
Lie. The PRA literally states that ALL government documents are property of the National Archives the second the former president leaves office. You have NO RIGHT to take any of them. It's literally a crime. The PRA exists to PREVENT outgoing presidents taking documents with them.
"Classified documents in Chinatown, and on his garage floor."
See, again, the second those misplaced docs were found, THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY TURNED OVER as the law requires. Thus Biden 100% followed the law. The orange traitor VIOLATED the law by NOT turning over every single document when told to.
"Is he being charged under the Espionage Act?"
No, because unlike you he didn't purposefully steal and retain and SHARE classified documents with America's enemies.
"Penn Center which receives China money."
Lie. Republican investigations have literally proven that China DOES NOT and HAS NOT EVER sent Biden or his family any funding.
However China DID paid for the orange traitor's campaign. China DID give him donations while he was in office. China DID pay him millions PERSONALLY to rent out rooms in his hotels that were never used. Something Saudi Arabia ALSO did. In order to bribe him to give concessions to those countries. Shortly after China paid the orange traitor $25 million, he signed his tariff bill on Chinese goods, which drastically increased the prices AMERICANS pay on Chinese products, making a fortune for China and crippling the US economy.
"Boxes he is not wanting to release."
Lie. Every single government document discovered Biden IMMEDIATELY turned over to the National Archives as he is required to do by law. He has nothing. That's literally why he worked with them in the investigation, to ensure nothing else was missed.
"Was Obama, Clinton or Bush charged?"
No. Because unlike the orange traitor, not a one of them KEPT government documents. They've ALL found some misplaced docs, and returned them. Pretty much every ex-government official who had classified document access has. There's over a million such people in the US. And this happens CONSTANTLY. That's why the law exists, so that if any misplaced docs are found, they're immediately turned over. EVERYONE has done so, EXCEPT YOU.
"I am illegally targeted."
No. You openly committed a crime against America and are RIGHTFULLY being prosecuted because of the mountains of evidence of your guilt.

So she wants to defend his reputation? That's a violation of her role as a judge and she should be immediately disbarred for that.
Also his reputation is that of a fascist traitor, a liar, a criminal, a conman, a thief, a rapist, a pedophile, a racist, a sexist, a bigot, a xenophobe, a limp dicked loser.

Let's use a bank as an analogy.
Biden worked for the bank. He was working in the back counting the bills. A couple of bills fell on the floor and got stuck to his shoes. He left that job, and the bills ended up at places they shouldn't be. Years later while cleaning he found some of those bills. So he immediately contacted the authorities and turned them over. He then started searching everywhere he could so if anything else was found, it could be turned over.
The orange traitor worked for the bank. He was being fired, so just before he left, he got some thugs to back up bags full of money and ordered them to steal tons of them. He then lied about having them. The bank demanded them back, and he tried to obstruct in court to prevent them being returned. This went on for a while, until the bank threatened legal action. So he turned over a couple of bags, and lied about that being everything. Even though the bank knew he was lying. He started screaming on social media about how the money he stole was his, and the bank was being mean, and he's the boss of the bank and has every right to steal that money.
Months and months go by, with the money being scattered around his club where anyone can walk in and take it (or use it to make counterfeit bills). The bank finally got a search warrant to retrieve their property. Tons of bags were returned, except some of those bags were missing, and there's STILL more out there. Meanwhile the orange loser keeps arguing in court that the cash is his, and that he has the right to steal it, and that it was planted, and that it didn't exist, and that he took the bills out of circulation so it's okay for him to steal them.
Biden made a mistake, but immediately corrected it when discovered, following the law.
The orange traitor purposefully stole stuff, then lied about it, obstructed it's return in court, and did everything he could to keep it, which is a blatant crime.

- The FBI's raid was a horrific "abuse of power"
Putting something in quotes generally denotes that it isn't what you claim it is. It's like using air quotes saying something is "legal" when it's a crime.
So your own statement makes it seem clear you know it WAS NOT an abuse of power. Because it wasn't. It was a legally signed search warrant. Not a raid. A raid is kicking the door in, guns blazing. This was FBI agents who told the orange traitor that they were coming, have a signed search warrant proving it was a legal search and that they knew exactly where the STOLEN DOCUMENTS were (which they recovered). FBI agents dressed in civilian clothing so as to make as little fuss as possible. They did everything they could to cater to the orange traitor. Whereas any other citizen who stole government documents would have been black bagged by the FBI only to wake up in a basement room of the Pentagon for interrogation.
So go to hell you rabid werewombat.
- there needs to be "a complete housecleaning" at the FBI
Again, using quotes improperly again. It makes it seem like your comment actually implies something other than you're saying. Like that you want loyal FBI agents who are upholding their oath to the Constitution replaced with fascist Republican traitors who will violate the Constitution and take part in open acts of treason LIKE YOU DID. You fuzzy treasonous bloatweasel.
Now, I would say that every FBI agent that was hired by the orange traitor, who is a proven traitor to America and who has repeatedly put traitors who violated their oaths of office in positions of power to help him destroy America, should be fired and investigated to see what crimes they've committed in his name. Just as you should be. Because you're a traitor.
- we need "real oversight" from Congress
Again, stop using quotes in the wrong places. Your quoted real oversight makes it sound like you're admitting that you don't want real oversight, you want fascist Republican traitors in control to make sure the FBI violates the Constitution and helps you and your treasonous allies destroy America. You scruffy dungfluffle.
And the FBI DOES have oversight, from the DoJ and the Attorney General within the US (which is where the orange traitor hid the documents he stole from the government to give to his master Putin), and Director of National Intelligence for intelligence matters. Oh, sorry Rafael, "intelligence" is that thing you're sorely lacking in.
Remember that there's this whole "separation of powers" thing built into the US government. You should know that, being a part of the government. But then you've never once read the Constitution or Bill of Rights because you don't know a damn thing that's in them. And you can't use the "but I'm a Canadian so I don't know shit about America" excuse because I'm also Canadian, and I know a metric f*ck ton more about how the US works than you do, clearly.

@brendaanne0810 No worries.
I generally understand "putting it on the line" to mean that you're risking. You're doing something that MIGHT go against you, but you could pull it off and be fine. Basically taking an extreme risk.
What the orange traitor's lawyers are doing is straight up career suicide. They are KNOWINGLY lying and often times doing so in court. They are purposefully wasting court time and resources. Their actions are guaranteed from the start to end their legal career. Which is why I don't get why they'd ever be stupid enough to do it.
Betting my life savings on a long shot team in sports would be putting my future on the line. Because while I probably have some inside tips to why I might make that bet, if it goes wrong, I lose everything.
But what these lawyers are doing is just taking their life savings and lighting them on fire. They KNOW their career is over the second they agree to lie for him. I cannot see any sort of positive to what they're doing.
First, they're not getting paid. None of them do (except that one guy who got paid up front and then quit, which was brilliant).
Second, they're going to be sanctioned, lose their law license, and quite possibly spend time in prison. So they're never practicing law again. So they can't use this to build up a resume.
Third, they're making themselves a nation wide disgrace. Even outside of law, nobody would ever want to have anything to do with these people. Not only did they show they're anti-American, but they also proved they will knowingly lie even when everyone KNOWS they're lying. I wouldn't hire that person to take out my trash.
So honestly... I just cannot get it. There is absolutely no upside to what they're doing. They might as well go play in traffic. It would be less harmful to them.

Republicans openly despise women.
The Texas supreme court told Mrs. Cox that she could not have an abortion.
They claimed that despite there being no chance of her baby living (most likely won't even be born, and if it does it will die in hours after suffering agony) that "THE UNBORN HAS RIGHTS" so she can't have an abortion because it would violate the rights of the unborn. They don't care that it will also risk her life and potentially prevent her being pregnant again in the future.
At the same time...
The Texas supreme court told Mrs. Issa, that she could not sue her work place for costing her the life of her child.
She works at a Texas correctional facility. She was pregnant, and having severe pains. She wanted to go to the doctor to make sure her baby was okay, and her work said no, that if she went to the doctor she'd be fired. She had to wait to see a doctor, and in the mean time lost her baby. The doctor stated that if she was allowed to see a doctor when she first tried, the baby easily could have been saved. So she tried to sue her work for costing her the baby.
The court ruled that "THE UNBORN HAS NO RIGHTS" so her work costing her the life of her baby isn't a crime.
Republicans will OPENLY make two COMPLETELY OPPOSITE RULINGS as long as they can ensure that women suffer and die.
That is their goal. They see women as less than human. They see them as property. Baby factories to be owned, used, abused, and thrown in the trash.
Any woman voting Republican is voting for people who don't think she has the right to exist.

As always, Republicans DO NOT CARE that the orange traitor is a liar, criminal, conman, racist, sexist, fascist, bigot, rapist, pedophile, and literal traitor. They don't give a damn that he organized and incited an insurrection to try and end democracy. In fact they CELEBRATE it.
But the fact that he's a LOSER is what turns them against him. That he's a risk to them getting unlimited power and burning America to the ground is what upsets them. NOT his open acts of treason.

Boebert sees AOC in committees, where she calls out people and gets mass applause and praise from everyone. But she doesn't get that AOC is successful because she's very intelligent. She studies the issue at hand, does her research, makes sure she's prepared for any excuses the witness might give.
Bobo just goes in, puts on her glasses and tries to talk as if she's in control, while knowing absolutely NOTHING about what's going on. She doesn't know the current situation, she doesn't know how the systems work, she doesn't know who did what. She spreads lies and propaganda online, then in her echo chamber of fascist bullshit, hears it repeated, and then thinks it's actually what's happening.

Hunter Biden has faced charges for tax problems. Something that, as the article has pointed out, he's dealt with, and is taking a plea deal for in order to accept accountability. Which is something to be respected. Yes, he messed up, but now he's making up for it.
Honestly, I think this is a good thing for Biden. His son is showing that the Biden family, though they've dealt with hardships, will own up to their actions and take responsibility for them. That's the duty of all citizens. Your rights and freedoms come with responsibilities.
And unlike the orange traitor's kids, who were placed in positions of power they had no qualifications for (and couldn't get security clearance for), Hunter has never held political office. So there's no concerns about him abusing power or anything like that. He's a private citizen, dealing with issues that countless Americans have, and is setting his life straight. Which honestly, to many can be damn inspiring. Even those at the top can stumble, just like those at the bottom. And both can turn things around.
Meanwhile you have the orange traitor's kids, who made illegal business deals while in office, who flaunted their authority, who buddied up to America's enemies... just laughing at the rest of the country as they flee to their ivory towers.
Michael Cohen, the orange loser's former lawyer slash consigliere, owned up to his crimes, and served his time. And he's now working hard to undo the damage he's helped cause and to pay back the society that's given him a second chance. That's how the system works. And I see Hunter's case being no different. Well, other than Hunter being a private citizen with no ties to politics beyond his last name.

@rchurch2769 Thing is, Republicans haven't been "conservative" since Reagan (ever since the party flip honestly). They've been for big government, oversight over everything in everyone's lives, massive spending, tax cuts for the rich, tax increases for everyone else, and huge handouts to corporations that don't need it. They've been horrific with the economy, always causing a recession with their endless spending and just printing endless money. Then there's the whole being against civil rights and equality thing.
And there's never been a "far left" in America. Even the Progressives are center-left at best. Corporate Democrats are the definition of conservative. Small government, favoring businesses, while trying to keep taxes generally low for everyone (though always giving the rich the best deals), promoting American production and manufacturing, pro-military, etc...
I mean, what do you consider "far left"? Giving everyone equal rights? Low taxes for the poor and high taxes for the rich who have all the wealth? Making the rich pay their share? A livable minimum wage? Unions?

Republicans are OPENLY anti-woman.
The Texas supreme court ruled that Mrs. Cox, who's baby had a lethal disorder and was non-viable, couldn't have an abortion because despite carrying the already failed pregnancy to term risking her life and her chance of ever having another child, because "THE UNBORN CHILD HAS RIGHTS" and thus having an abortion would violate those rights.
The same Texas supreme court ruled that Mrs. Issa, a Texas correctional facility guard who was pregnant and having pains and asked her employer to let her see a doctor to make sure her baby was okay... to which her employer refused (stay at work or be fired) and caused her to lose the baby (which her doctor stated would have easily been saved if she was allowed to go in when she asked)... cannot sue her employer for the death of her baby because "THE UNBORN CHILD HAS NO RIGHTS" and thus losing that child isn't a crime.
So they will openly argue completely opposite stances, as long as it causes women to suffer.
If you are a woman and vote Republican then you are voting for people who see you as less than human. As an object, a baby maker, to own, use, abuse, and torture to death.

People have to understand that modern day cops are NOT there to protect and serve. Hell, the courts have literally ruled that cops ARE NOT required to risk themselves to in order to protect others.
Most cops today are there to serve the rich and powerful and keep the people under their heel.
No knock raids
Power posing (like when they shoved that elderly guy for no reason and cracked his head open)
Civil forfeiture (finding any excuse to take from the poor, and often sell it on the streets)
Serving the rich (keeping "undesirables" away from affluent areas, regardless of whether those people have a right to be there)
Getting their kicks by abusing their power, especially against minorities who are unarmed
Being protected despise being bullies, thugs, rapists, racists, murderers, pedophiles, etc...
Suppressing dissent (cops DESPISE peaceful protests for rights and freedoms, but will happily march alongside Nazi groups)

Until the orange traitor is taken to court for his endless defamation, nothing will change. Sure, he's not a serious person, or intelligent one, or cognitively functional one... but what he is is a hero to the right. They CELEBRATE his evil and treason. The more he openly betrays and fights to destroy America, the more they will cheer for him. The more he gets out and slanders people, the more the love him. Because THEY SEE that he's never held accountable.
Biden, Smith, Garland, Lincoln Project, Hunter, and countless other people should have ALREADY sued the shit out of him for his defamation. But they haven't. Which has told the world that he is not just allowed by ENCOURAGED to slander and defame. Because of their inaction, his attacks have gotten worse and worse. He's told his cultists to go out and murder people, and NOTHING gets done. So he will keep doing it. And once Smith and Garland and Biden are executed by his domestic terrorist followers, then suddenly people will start saying "maybe we should have done something BEFORE he straight up murdered the president?"

Meanwhile Republicans do nothing but lie about how much "bad" all the Democrats are doing. Terrible things like creating jobs, giving better work environments, fixing the climate, bringing companies back to the US, lowering prices, creating more unions, protecting rights and freedoms. Just horrible.
Of course, while Republicans sit there and lie endlessly about all these things that are literally NOT in Democrat bills, and vote against them... once those bills get passed and massively improve the lives of the people in their districts... those same Republicans that voted against them go out and tell their constituents that THEY delivered all this great stuff for them, DESPITE Democrats. That THEY somehow created jobs, when they literally voted to kill jobs.
It's disgusting, and should be a federal crime to do so. EVERY bill should be a recorded vote, with that information being made public on all media. Show the country how the politicians ACTUALLY vote.

"He declassified those documents!"
Okay... and? The crimes that he's committed by stealing those documents has NOTHING to do with whether or not they're classified. The crimes involve someone stealing documents. Whether they're classified or not doesn't affect the charge. It's as simple as that.
We know that he didn't declassify any of it. Because there's a process that the president has to go through to declassify documents, which includes signatures from other government agencies and an extensive paper trail. NONE of that was done. PLUS, some of those documents CANNOT BE DECLASSIFIED BY THE PRESIDENT. So he wouldn't be able to even if he wasn't a brainless idiot who has no clue how the process works.
And even if he DID start the process on his way out (which he didn't), he's still taking GOVERNMENT PROPERTY to his residence. That's called theft. Those document, classified or not, ARE NOT HIS TO TAKE.
He tried to claim that Obama took 30 million documents. He did not. In fact the National Archives CONFIRMED that he did not. They worked with him when he was on his way out to ensure that 30 million documents were sent to his presidential library (which the NARA controls). No documents were taken by Obama himself. Because that would be a federal crime and he would have ended up in prison or executed for it (which is what the crime of treason, which this falls under, calls for).
Yet even though the orange traitor stole documents, and returned SOME of them only after the National Archives proved he'd stolen them, and had his lawyers falsely sign documents to say everything was returned, instead of going to prison for that lie they only subpoenaed him to have him return the rest he'd stolen. And he was TOLD that if he didn't return them, the FBI would have to come take them. So he KNEW this legal search and seizure was coming.
And the fact that they've been treating him with kid gloves over this, instead of just black bagging him and having him wake up in a Pentagon basement room to be interrogated like ANYONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY WOULD HAVE... is beyond disgusting.

This was a massive win for the US... and Republicans are trying to turn it into a loss, and are making everything worse, as always.
First off, a double gold medal winning, patriotic American athlete and celebrity is being brought home after her being falsely imprisoned on trumped up charges (being arrested on possession for a prescription she's entered Russia with countless times before). That's huge.
In exchange, Russia gets a washed up ex-arms dealer. A man who is completely out of touch with the systems that made him valuable in the past, because he's been out of the game for many years (first being on the run and then being in a US prison). He had already served most of his sentence in the US, and was going to be released before Griner was anyway. The US was already looking to trade him to Russia because they had no more use for him.
They've interrogated (and tortured) him for years, getting every usable bit of intel out of him. All of his wealth and assets have been seized. His entire network has been dismantled. Countless of his contacts have been arrested by the US and countries around the world thanks to the info he's given up. He has nothing, and has been out of the game for ages.
On top of that, his infamy means he's going to be constantly tracked by intelligence agencies around the world. He has to live out the rest of his life in hiding, because if he ever leaves Russia, he'll be instantly snatched up by one agency or another. And even IN Russia, leaving his safe house risks being grabbed. So he gets to live out the rest of his life in terror, always looking over his shoulder for someone coming to get him.
And sure, Putin might want to bring him into his circle to use his out of date talents to try and get Russia more weapons. Of course now Bout has nothing to work with, except Russia's crumbling military, which is less than he had as an arms dealer. And because every agency is watching him... who's he going to do business with? How many drug dealers do you think would want to do business with a supplier that they know is under 24/7 police surveillance and will guarantee they're going to prison if they contact them?
He's less than useless at this point. So it was an incredible deal for the US.
And to those who say that Bout is way more valuable because of his crimes... why? So, you think his arms deals are worse than those the US literally take part in?
And you think having him in a US prison for a couple more years before he is released anyway is going to change anything? It's not going to reform him. And all it's doing is costing the US a fortune to keep him imprisoned. What does the US get out of holding onto him that's more valuable than bringing home an American citizen that was falsely imprisoned?
Meanwhile, you have the right wing suddenly up in arms about Paul Whelan, the disgraced ex-Marine that was dishonorably discharged due to larceny and several other crimes, who was caught in Russia in possession of a flash drive containing classified documents. So he's in a cell due to espionage charges, not just some fake charge like Griner was. 99.9% of those on the right never had any clue who Whelan was, until they were told to be pissed off about the criminal white man being left behind while the celebrity black woman was brought home.
Even the orange traitor started spouting lies and nonsense about how he would have brought Whelan home. Funny, because Whelan was in Russian prison in 2018... when the orange traitor was in charge... and had Bout in US custody... and was supposedly bosom buddies with Putin... so why did he never lift a finger to try and get that deal made? Other than him being Putin's little orange bitch?
Because to Russia, Whelan, who's under arrest for espionage, is a VASTLY more important prisoner. So a useless lump like Bout would never be worth the trade to them.
But, thanks the right wing now making Whelan into a martyr for them, and plastering his name everywhere... well, Russia is now looking at him being super important to the US. Which means Whelan's exchange has now been made all but impossible. The US is going to have to grovel on it's knees and hand over the most important prisoners they have at this point. The right wing has basically guaranteed Whelan's stay in Russia has been greatly extended.
Because if there's one thing the right wing is good at, it's ruining the lives of Americans.
Also, the best thing the US could do to get Whelan home, is to have US intelligence go out and capture a Russian agent in the US. Problem is, they're pretty tied up with waves of white supremacist domestic terrorism, and constantly dealing with the espionage crimes of a certain orange traitor... like digging up classified documents stored at golf courses and in random storage units.

I have friends in Texas who are gun collectors. A number of their weapons were bought at gun shows. They see a gun they want, they hand over cash, they get the gun. That's it. Not a single check. No ID of any kind required. Cash for guns is all it takes.
Now, they're responsible gun owners, so they've gone out and properly registered those guns. They have them on display in a secure case, with ammo locked away separately, because they have kids, and the last thing they want is their kids accidentally hurting themselves with a weapon from their collection.
They are 100% for full universal background checks. Thorough checks that make sure that the person who wants a gun has no criminal or violent history, no records of abuse or assault, no mental issues, no violent rhetoric that would make unsafe to own a weapon. And once someone DOES get a gun, then it should be properly stored. Far too many children die from unsecured weapons in their homes.
Owning a gun is fine, but you have to respect the killing tool that it is.

@AlmostCouture Again, businesses go under. Yes, those people would likely lose their jobs... of course quite possibly other companies would simply buy the plant from GM as they're going under and those folks would simply be working for a new company doing the same thing.
But if a company fails, then it needs to be allowed to fail, and not artificially kept alive by the government. Especially as much of the time that money that the company gets isn't going to keeping workers paid, it's going to stock buybacks and to make sure the CEO's that drove the company into the ground are getting money for failing.
My dad was an engineer, designing engines for planes and the like. The company he was working for went under. There was talk about it for months before it happened. When it was finally official, my dad found out because when he showed up for work, there was new signs going up and basically everyone was told about how some new company had bought the factory he worked at and things would basically just continue as before under new management.
As a bonus, he even ended up getting a raise and the new company paid to upgrade all the computers (crappy old systems they refused to update was part of why the old company was doing so poorly).
This is business. What needs to be done is for those at the top to be held accountable. Because currently, some CEO can run a company into the ground, grab every penny he can from it before it collapses, and then just move on to a new cushy job in charge of some other company. Literally failing upwards. That needs to be a crime.

@solo741 The problem is, artificially propping up failing businesses devastates the economy. You're taking taxpayer dollars that could be going to improving the country and putting them in the pockets of the ultra rich, who will continue to let their company fail and simply come back for more handouts.
When the rich hoard wealth, it ruins the economy. To have a healthy economy you need to be putting money IN to the system. So let the company fail, and be broken up and absorbed and replaced, which keeps people working, which keeps them putting money into buying necessities which keeps the economy growing.
When you give billions to a corporation that's failing, most of that is going into the pockets of the rich owners, not into the business itself. All the companies that get handouts, still end up firing countless workers, and cutting corners, and producing less. Which leaves them in an even worse spot, so they need another handout.
It needs to stop. It's an endless cycle of pissing away money that doesn't help anyone. Yes, there might be a slowdown for a while as things get rebalanced, but overall it's vastly better for everyone. There will be more jobs available, more money going to the people so they can afford things, and less rich pricks pocketing a fortune for nothing.

Republicans don't care that he is a racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, bigoted, criminal, lying, rapist, pedophile, conman, fascist traitor.
In fact those are the reasons they support him.
They just care that he's a loser. They DESPISE America, the Constitution and democracy and want someone who will let them completely destroy all three.

This literally happens ALL THE TIME.
There are over a million people in the US who have classified access. When these people leave office, they often misplace documents (as they have hundreds of thousands to quickly sort through and pack away).
When someone finds docs, they turn them over. That's it. It never made headlines until a certain orange traitor REFUSED to return the docs he stole. If he had turned them over when asked, NONE of this would be talked about. And he wouldn't be going on trial for it.
Because the crime is NOT simply having the documents. It's WILLFUL RETAINMENT. It's being told to hand them over and NOT DOING SO. If you misplaced them, fine, it happens, hand them in. The second you DON'T you've committed a federal crime.
Biden, Pence, Obama, Cheney, Bush, various generals, department heads, etc... all of them have found documents from their time in office, and have simply turned them over. No fuss, no media storm. Just procedure.
One of the Constitutional experts was talking about how Jimmy Carter had found classified documents in a box of old files sitting in an attic he was clearing out. They where from when he was in office over 20 years ago. He sorted through, made sure anything belonging to the government was found, and turned them all over. And that was that. Nobody in the press said a word, because it was no more important than someone turning in a misplaced library book.
It happens constantly.
The government does NOT track all documents, not even all classified documents. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of these generated daily. Daily briefings and reports for Pres, VP, department leaders, etc... inter office memos, schedule updates, confirmations, etc... tons of stuff is "classified" even if it's honestly just irrelevant. That's how the bureaucracy works.
Only the very top level secrets get tracked. And that's no guarantee of safety. After all, the orange traitor stole TS-SCI docs. Those are locked up in a vault and have to be signed out and then viewed in a SCIF, and then signed back in. Which means someone in charge of those documents, falsely signed for documents that WERE NOT RETURNED. THOSE people need to be found and prosecuted.

If he wrote on them, not only does that NOT give him any claim to them, but it is LITERALLY A FEDERAL CRIME. That would be defacing GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS.
18 U.S. Code § 1519 - Destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in Federal investigations and bankruptcy

It would be good if you went into more detail about the metrics.
Lots of people are reporting on this, but they're not explaining that this is NOT simply some popularity contest. It's not just what people think about the presidents.
They rank them all based on economic metrics, societal changes while in office, legislation passed, effectiveness of their platform (how much did they promise vs what they actually got passed), how long their legislation lasts (for example Johnson scored huge for the Voting Rights Act, whereas a president who passes some Act or bill that gets negated by the next administration loses standing), how their legislation affected the poor vs the rich, what equality and rights did they support, etc...
There's a ton of metrics that went into this. It's actually quite fascinating.
The fact is, the orange traitor failed at EVERYTHING.
He devastated the economy, well before COVID hit and made things worse. He had negative job growth BEFORE the pandemic. His trade war with China crippled the US economy. His racism and sexism severely hurt the American people and civil rights overall. His handouts to the ultra rich created 25% of America's TOTAL debt since the country's founding, etc...
Plus most of his legislation has (thankfully) been reversed by Biden, because it was so devastating to the country and NEEDED to be reversed.
The fact that he is also a brainless idiot who knows absolutely nothing, and proves his stupidity and incompetence constantly also counted severely against him.
The fact that he openly betrayed America to it's enemies on many occasions (especially to Russia) was also a massive blow against him. His organizing the US retreat from Syria, forcing US forces to leave behind all equipment and intel, which the Russia army, coordinating with the orange traitor, immediately moved in and seized (the Russian forces were inside and flying their flag on the US base within the hour of US forces leaving, because the handover of equipment and intel was pre-planned). All of that drastically reduced his standing.

"Our policies work."
Actually, no. Your policies have DEVASTATED Florida's economy. You've literally crippled the state. You've made countless Floridians homeless because of the highest property tax and rental price increases in the country. You've gutted minimum wage protections. You've gutted support programs like unemployment, food stamps, etc. You've allowed Nazis to roam the streets armed and terrorize citizens. You've driven countless businesses out of the state, costing some of the highest job loss in a state in history.
Hell, your "attack" in Disney, made them STOP paying to maintain their special district, and now the cost of that (infrastructure, utilities, trash pickup, etc) is all being paid for by the residents and small businesses in that district. People there are already looking at an over 30% increase in property tax to help pay for it, along with a host of other targeted taxes. So you've basically crippled that community, while Disney saves money, and is guaranteed by the state that the level of quality in the area that they upheld is maintained.
You are the worst thing to ever happen to Floridians. The hurricanes that hit the state have done vastly less damage.
