  2. These stories have always been bullshit. But they come out every year, and every year politicians approve hundreds of millions in spending to fight something that literally has never once happened. No drug dealer is going to give away drugs to children. Children would likely die, and THEY HAVE NO MONEY. Drug dealers want adults, with lots of income, who they can sell thousands of dollars worth of drugs a month to. Not some kid, who even if they survived, wouldn't know WHERE the drugs came from and wouldn't be able to buy them anyway. Plus, if drugs were found in candy, then that would have the cops cracking down on neighborhoods. So drug dealer is going to purposefully bring police attention on themselves. The very nothing that this could ever possibly happen is beyond insane. Anyone pushing it should be charged with fraud. Because that's what it is, pushing a fake story to ensure an agency gets money assigned to them that they will be able to pocket because there is nothing for them to investigate.
