As a Jewish man, born in Israel... I openly condemn the actions of both Hamas AND Netanyahu's fascist regime. Their continued violence against each other is slaughtering innocent civilians. I stand WITH the people of Palestine AND Israel. Those being caught in the crossfire of two tyrannical regimes who don't give a damn about the lives lost in their fight for power. Netanyahu has helped Hamas grow because he uses it as a boogeyman, as all fascists do. He empowers them, and pushes them to commit acts of violence, and then campaigns on how "only he can save Israel" from the barbarians at the gate. Barbarians HE has helped grow in power. Twice now, Hamas has had leaders take power who wanted to end the violence and push for peace, and Netanyahu had both of them killed, because that would ruin his narrative. Meanwhile Hamas isn't a governing body. They ran on it originally, but as soon as they got power, they abandoned the people of Palestine and dedicated themselves to the destruction of Israel and it's people. BOTH leaderships NEED TO GO. They are why the violence continues and there can be no peace.

The people of Israel have OPENLY protested against Netanyahu countless times. For all his atrocities. Yet other than the recent protests about Bibi changing the courts to give himself full control of them, you don't see any coverage of the constant protests. If you bring up such things in the US or Canada you're immediately labeled as being anti-Semitic for criticizing Netanyahu or talking about the truth. Netanyahu IS NOT Israel or it's people. Being against his apartheid government is NOT being against Jews. It does NOT make you anti-Semitic.

@1917VIL I specifically mentioned Netanyahu's fascist regime.

alioxinfree Sadly talking about the justified outrage of the Israeli people against Netanyahu usually gets you labeled an anti-Semite in the west. My family takes part in the protests against Netanyahu. There's one going on every week at least. But you never heard about those. The nation wide protest over the courts was the first to get any real coverage outside of Israel. The being against the fascists controlling the Israeli government is NOT being against Israel or it's people. Netanyahu ≠ Israel

@1917VIL Ah, I see what you're saying. Sadly, a one state solution likely won't work, because most Palestinians don't want to just be a part of the state of Israel. And Israel is controlled by a right wing government who will never give up territory to allow Palestine to be an independent country. I don't know what the solution is. But I do know that the endless slaughter isn't it.

@viridianacortes9642 Yes. In a recent poll taken in Israel, 4 out of 5 Israelis openly blame Netanyahu for the endless violence and want him removed. They want peace. And there's constant protests in Israel against Netanyahu. However most of those are never mentioned in the west. Anyone who tries to report on them is usually just labeled as anti-Semitic. The last massive country wide protest over Netanyahu giving himself control of the courts was the only once recently to have gotten any attention.

@NotInMYName_AntiZionistJew Exactly. That was the problem they've already faced. The people were FINALLY able to have Netanyahu removed. Unfortunately his power base was still there, and they were able to make sure he was placed back into office. Until his supporters are ALSO removed from office, his threat will never end. It's the same as in the US. The American people rose up and kicked the orange traitor out of office. However all the Republicans who openly supported his treason are still there and are fighting to have him placed back in office, against the will of the people. Removing the leader isn't enough when those who support him still control the government.

@LanguageWithYousef I don't know what the solution is. Some argue for a one state solution. But then what is the state? Is it Israel or Palestine? Or a new country altogether? Others say there should be two countries, and much of the land Israel has taken over the years needs to be returned. I lean more towards the second option, as then both nations would rule themselves. But then how do you split up the land? The ultimate solution is something the experts with years of experience and resources need to come up with. All I can do is call for an end to violence and to have the tyrants controlling both nations removed. So that calmer heads can prevail.

@michaelshigetani433 Netanyahu is fascist. No need to shy away from the word. Just like the Nazis. Just like Mussolini. Just like Putin. Just like Republicans. They all use the same playbook. And one of the key strategies is having a scapegoat to unite the people against. To make them ignore everything except a blind hatred of a group of people. Netanyahu has openly supported Hamas. He's helped them grow in power. And he crushes Palestinians knowing that will lead to more Hamas recruits and thus more attacks on Israel. And when those attacks happen, he campaigns on fighting the barbarians at the gate, and talks about how "only he can save the country". Just like Hitler did. Just like Putin or the orange traitor does. It's what fascists do. Twice now, Hamas has gotten new leaders who wanted to bring an end to the violence and tried to negotiate a lasting peace. Netanyahu had both of them assassinated. Because peace between Israel and Hamas destroys his platform.
