That was never a thing to begin with though. Russia doesn't care. They want to conquer everything that was a part of the USSR and beyond. They don't give a damn about NATO or anyone else. And Ukraine was NEVER going to be a part of NATO. They don't even qualify. There was no talks about them joining NATO. It's just another of the Russian lies (that Republicans in the US are parroting). Russian media accidentally released an article written up before the invasion that was all about bragging about how easily they conquered Ukraine and replaced its government with a puppet. How the west is stupid for thinking Russia wasn't going to expand and wipe out Europe. They literally gave the game away.

@Oners82 False. Ukraine doesn't meet the requirements to join. They closest they've done is join NATO's partner program (which is open to all nations and has nothing to do with membership).
