Agreed. There is a limit to the notion of "playing fair". Yes, don't abuse your power, but if it's there, use it. Don't refuse to do what you can simply to make a stance when it means you will now get nothing done and set back the city and left wing policies for decades.

Yeah, people are happy to try and claim that she didn't earn it, out of malice and jealousy. Anything to try and tear her down. Such mud slinging is just disgusting.

@frankmoon9350 Except that using the strong mayor powers is still a part of that democracy. I get that she doesn't want to abuse it, but she needs to use what she can to make needed changes.

Republicans have affairs, send their wives/mistresses/daughters/rape victims to get abortions, lie and cheat constantly, protect pedophiles (hell, countless Republicans ARE pedophiles), support the mass murder of children... yet keep trying to claim they care about families.

It's nice to finally see someone left leaning be in charge of Toronto. After the city spent years being devastated by conservatives who wants to turn the city into their private slush fund... now the people can get something done.
