@jujutrini8412 Well, that was part of it. From a young age he didn't want to be in dresses and made up like a girl and given all the "girl's toys". And it took his folks a while to accept that. And as he grew and became more self aware, he was able to better explain to them who he was. Which they eventually accepted.

@Jay92296 YouTube is a right wing propaganda machine. There's a reason right wing channels can post lies, fascist propaganda, and calls for violence and terrorism without issue, but if a left leaning channel mentions rights or outs the crimes or treason of politicians they will often be demonitized.

@TheDivayenta They also claim seeing gay content in shows and such turns people gay. If that were true, why isn't everyone straight considering 99.9% of content is hetero and has been forever?

Matt Walsh is horrifying, evil and sick. The boy is a beautiful soul with a loving family who have strong Christian values, such as love, acceptance, tolerance and knowing that god made that boy exactly the way he is. God made trans people, are right wingers saying that god is wrong?

@hhasslinger9601 Because gender and sex are two very different things. Someone else made a great argument in another discussion. If someone who is a natural athlete plays hockey for years, and then switches and plays football... are they a hockey player or a football player? Regardless of which they're identified as, they're still an athlete. But should they be fitter for a hockey jersey or a football uniform? You can be born either sex (or both or neither or one of the various in betweens). But your gender is a societal construct. Which is irrelevant to that. Of course later in life, they could choose to go through reassignment surgery, which is their choice. Then their physical form matches their gender. But gender and sex are two different things. This BOY is a boy. Because that's who they are. It's that simple.

@hhasslinger9601 Because it's not anywhere near that simple. People don't choose to be trans to get an advantage. They ARE trans, and suffer greatly just trying to be themselves. You can't just declare overnight that you're now a woman when you're sentenced to prison. However, if you ARE in prison, and you identify as trans, you are allowed to go through your transition and legally become identified as a woman, and yes, you can in fact be sent to a woman's prison. It's like the idiotic claims of Republicans that some students will simply claim to be a different gender to get an advantage in sports. That's beyond stupid. The bullying, the prejudice, the constant right wing attacks on you and your family, are not something people will put up with just to play on a different league for a season. Transitioning is accepting who they are. NOBODY is doing it for a whim. The sports analogy is the point. You are an athlete. What sport you play doesn't change that. But what type of sport you play is your choice, your identity. I mean, I get most people don't care to think about it. They just stick with "trans bad" because Republicans tell them to, and that's about the extent of right wing thinking. Parrot whatever lies you're told, because thinking is scary.
