@stratvids And it's the voter apathy that kills me. How can you NOT vote? I've been voting in every single election I could since I was legally able to. It's the MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do as a citizen. If you don't vote, then you're actively calling for the destruction of your country and for all your rights and freedoms to be taken away. If you didn't vote, you NEVER get to complain about ANYTHING. Because it's literally your fault.

@ashleyien1222 Every vote matters. Even if your area goes strongly Conservative (which most do only because nobody turns out to vote), you're showing the parties you're there. If you don't vote, then not only do Cons win, but you're telling the party you would vote for not to bother trying to win that district. When they don't see people turn out, they don't bother trying to build power there. If all the Liberal people in an area vote, even if the Cons still win by a huge margin, it shows the Liberals that there ARE people there who WILL support them, and they'll put more effort into flipping the district. A non-vote tells parties not to bother. And if Canadians can get off their asses, the Cons would be destroyed. Remember that despite it looking like Ford got a massive win in Ontario, he won with less than half of the vote, with less than half of voters bothering to show up. So he basically won with about 20% of the total vote. If Liberal voters turned out, Ford would be out of office. But they don't, which is why he keeps winning.

@AR-rg2en Except Con voters generally always turn out. They're the only ones who do. So sure, if there was more turnout, there would be a few more right wing voters, but the vast majority would be Liberal and NDP.

@roseannejacobsen7115 They keep expanding the highways, saying more lanes will easy traffic flow, which is literally the opposite of reality. The more lanes you add, the more traffic you get on them. The solution isn't wider highways, it's alternate routes and public transit hitting all the essentials.

@Shorty.186 Ford's brother devastated Toronto with his corruption. And since becoming Premier, Ford has actively done all he could to cripple Toronto. And sadly, despite Ford being horrific for Ontario, especially Toronto, people didn't bother to vote him out. Ford won with less than 45% of the less than 45% of total voters who bothers to show up. Just like how the US got Trump, Ontario got Ford.

@roseannejacobsen7115 Ford's tunnel won't be an alternative. Especially not as it's not even expected to be finished for 40 years. But widening highways has been PROVEN to increase traffic and slow things down. Fund public transit, and countless people won't need to drive. Get a proper rail system in place, and countless people won't need to drive. Build alternate routes, and you ease traffic.
