Just remember that this DOES NOT apply to DeSantis. This bill only affects mayors of cities and towns, city officials and such. DeSantis and the state legislature get to keep hiding their illegal donations. Hell, DeSantis literally passed a bill stating nobody's allowed to look at his travel expenses (which were previously public).

@moisesperez4605 Sadly almost all Republicans, and a few Democrats, are in the pockets of the ultra rich. And they know that if anyone took a look at their financials, they could quickly end up in prison. Hell, James Comer made up idiotic bullshit about Biden using shell companies to get bribes, with zero evidence. And the second people looked at HIS finances, they found that Comer HAD used a fake company to funnel millions of taxpayer dollars from the farming sector into while he was on the board of agriculture. So he illegally used his office to give a massive amount of taxpayer dollars to a shell company of his "family farm" that didn't legally exist.

So you agree that DeSantis passing a bill that hides his financials from Freedom of Information requests and makes his previously publicly available travel expenses classified is obviously corrupt as hell.

Funny how Florida passes a law to require politicians to declare all finances... EXCEPT for DeSantis. Who passed a law making it illegal to access his travel expenses.

@NotMe-ej9yz And the law DOES NOT APPLY TO HIM. You get that, right? The standard Republican approach of "rules for three, not for me." He's made it illegal to look into his travel expenses. He's signed a bill to protect HIS finances from Freedom of Information requests.
