The politics there seems to be a combination of race baiting, kids that got too rich too soon in life and a rich social fantasy life where if you pretend there are no problems, there are no problems. Trump should arrest the mayors of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento and the Governor over breaking immigration law and let them sit in the pokey for a couple of months.   16. Mall and brick and mortar stores paid local taxes. The loss of taxes will have to be picked up by homeowners. Internet retail has become a tough business and Amazon is getting a bigger and bigger part of it. Businesses that sell through Amazon find Amazon monitors their sales and sometimes will introduce competitive products against their platform sellers. UPS never misses a chance to raise rates and delivery will become more expensive as FedEx does whatever UPS does and offers little competition to UPS.

  18. China is our largest trading partner followed by Canada (Aug 2016). As for relations, China is in it for China and what ever brings in more money. China still resents the foreign powers that occupied them 100 years ago and they feel it's a score they have to settle and nothing would give them greater pleasure than to jam their heel into the face of Europeans and European-Americans. Some radical elements in their military would love the chance to restore the Chinese Empire when it was at it's peak. I would imagine following events in the United States, they see the U.S. devolving into a degenerated place where the men like feeling girly and getting breast implants. This will encourage further adventurism by the Chinese.

Non-white groups won't need them any longer and they have completely alienated white conservatives. Obama's purpose was to make America less white, even if it was at the expense of blacks. There is no shame in deporting people who enter illegally and immigration should be shut down without apology in times of economic distress. But this will be ever more difficult as the United States becomes more "diverse".

  37. I looked up taxes in Vermont and the state's tax rates are pretty much in line with most northeastern states. Vermont was never an economic powerhouse and never built a reputation as a business center. In the end if you get development you will see a rise in taxes and a decreased quality of life. New York was an economic powerhouse and they are losing their middle class.
