  1. The practice has symbolic value and I do not think any male has had a problem with it. Any immediate pain recesses into childhood memory if remembered at all. Female genital mutilation can and does affect female sexual pleasure and to the best of my knowledge does not serve a religious purpose. If you approve of Iceland banning this you can not cry about state intrusion into anything else the state's heart desires.
