  2. I think there would have been a small amount of appreciation shown to Hu as he walked off the stage. A polite round of applause, maybe a few kind words from Xi Jinping. Xi is big on image so Hu's exit was not a good look. At some point in the near future if Xi is shown with Hu in some positive way, that would show Hu's exit was due more to illness than political execution.
