I recall when this happened and she did cause a stir. She lived in Princeton, N.J. for several years.

Our media tilts left and with that, always had some difficulty being critical of Communists and the kindred spirits of the movement. The Nazis while having primarily left wing views were the safe exception as academia marketed them and relabeled them as right wing. Better to forget Khrushchev as he was seen as uncouth, a real no class act.

@WynneEmberEsther Both Communism and Fascism believed in government control. One owned industry, the other heavily regulated and taxed industry, to the point of total control. Both worked "for the good" of the people, limited freedoms and you were to be devoted to the state. Both wanted to spread their thinking around the world. Lies? How about opinion based on history?

@samiam619 The Soviets had gulags that provided all the free labor a Commie could want. How many German POW's got to go home after Germany surrendered? And Japanese soldiers? Even journalists today will admit they are less interested in facts and more into crusading. And right leaning journalists love exposing Democrats :)

The telegraph was more electro-mechanical than electronic. DeForest ushered in the electronic age. I think you meant American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T). As for what is the importance of transistor (solid state) technology... It gave us Pewdiepie. And karaoke. And precision guided bombs. With that in mind, you can certainly ask; What has God wrought?

Maybe someone else caught this? It's Rodgers and Hammerstein, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.

While one can question the McCarthy era, one must take into account events of the late 1940's and the actions of the Communists.

The event was a messy one but wasn't strictly the fault of the British. I had looked into this event years ago and as History Guy points out, there were many causes. You have to keep in mind Indians ran many of the local governmental operations and in the beginning of the growing season they predicted a huge crop and a great harvest. When the season ended in disaster there was a very slow acceptance of the news and there were strong suspicions farmers were withholding crops to help drive up prices. Finally Churchill sent people over to investigate the famine and then made arrangements to bring additional food in.

I guess along with mentioning the racial make up of Levittown you could have mentioned those developments were part reward for the successful campaign of reducing Japan into a radioactive wasteland and helping Great Britain turn Dresden into a lunar moonscape. You might as well go full bore SJW if you're going SJW at all.

The issue of these covenants (race was just one variety) could have been covered in another video dealing with racial issues and not one dealing in the heady subject of lawns. I suppose under a video dealing with real estate covenants he could say for non-whites, the grass was not always greener (nor as weed free).

Sriracha is good but I still like the humble nuance of Ketchup (Heinz seems to do it best).
