  2. Khrushchev was big on corn. He would irritate the agricultural bureau people in the Soviet Union to no end over his fixation with corn.

  3.  @Krakn8809  Most countries after World War 1 cut back on their military. While the United States had to maintain a 2 ocean navy, the Army was pint sized and ill equipped. When the British needed arms after 1939, the United States sold weapons and ammunition on hand. It is sort of comical to watch newsreels of the time showing the United States Army train with wooden rifles because all the real ones were shipped off to Europe. If we were attacked by a bunch of 5 year old girls we would have had to surrender (unless we could divert them with dessert).
