India must be laughing their azzes off over how they unloaded Kshama Sawanton on the U.S.

Maybe the current mayor of San Francisco is helping to drive people out.

Why work in a factory for $17.50 hour when you can make $1,000's tax free every week. It teaches crime does pay and pay very well. For many, the straight and narrow just doesn't sell.
28
Offer shoplifters free bus services to the middle class Democrat neighborhoods that support lax law enforcement.
20
This will slow down once the white executives get fired and replaced by non-whites.
20
If you have 40 million new homeless landlords better get prepared for more regulations. This is an ideal situation for the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs in government.

The WuKluxKlan!

I get groceries from Aldi and many of their off brand/house brand products are pretty good.
14
Instead of a recall, how about a fund to pay for Sawant's one way first class airline ticket back to India?
13
A lot of jobs never paid great money or had great benefits. Many people had their employer's retirement plans ended and the lucky ones may have gotten a small check for the money paid in. For them, they never had a chance to sock away a lot of cash for a rainy day. One little thing goes wrong and they're stuck.
12
Forget recall, go for deportation.
11
I support lower cost housing but my concern has been are people going to be thankful and appreciative for the housing or abuse it and be undesirable.
11
Productive is not in the vocabulary of the Left.

I stopped using the post office for bill payments. Several never made it and I hate overdue payment notices.
9
@djm5687 Legally speaking... you are correct. That is how Al Capone was nailed.
9
We listen about your idiots to get our mind off of our idiots.
9
Set up camps for detoxing. On the 3rd arrest you get sent to one. You detox, show some productive drive, you get to leave and rejoin society. Otherwise you get to stay and I would suspect many will want to stay. Better such people instead of wandering and causing endless upset stay in the camps.
9
Parking should become easier.
8
People on Social Security haven't seen benefits keep up with inflation. The last reform (fix) in 2008 made sure of it.
8
Someone in Bellevue has a serious case of trash can envy.
8
Seattle acts like a loony bin so your city doesn't have to.
6
Sean, once you favor one group, you will exclude others. You are working at cross purposes.
6
On the west coast when they call you a partner, it seems to mean you both go on a date but you always get to pick up the tab.
6
The jail there is already booked solid.
5
The Left wingers love those nice warm, fuzzy terms.
4
Seattle's motto should be: "Don't stop the groove". This plan sounds like it will be a way for the oppressed to demand more city aid and services.
4
Mexico already has the benefit of getting billions from California with none of the hassles of running California. Mexico is in the sweet spot.
4
Didn't late night talk show hosts go to Venice Beach to ask questions about current events to people who seemed to not even know what country they lived in? Venice Beach always seemed to be the epicenter of dumb in America.
4
I do not think the local Post Office has picked up their phone for ages. They publish the number but despite many attempts over the years, they have never answered it when I called.
4
This video was an excellent example of putting lipstick on a pig.

When you deal with drug addicts you are dealing with endless headaches. If legal I would send those off to a camp and not let them out until they clean themselves up. Thanks to the Supreme Court, that is much harder to do. My concern is for people that are slowly being driven into poverty by high rents and lack of viable lower cost alternatives. I am in a city that is not exactly an economic hotbed any longer and the rents just amaze me. High paying jobs are not abundant yet we see rents that were charged in midtown Manhattan just a few years ago. Where my sister lives is worse. She lives in a well kept and nice economic has been of a place but closer to NYC so you get commuters. The rents are higher yet.

@Rebecky31 Something that never gets discussed.

As long as the Wall Street stock exchanges exist in New York City, the city will have a cash cow. NYC also has a lot of corporate headquarters and the high paying jobs they have. If either leave, NYC becomes America's largest 3rd world colony because there is little else to support their economy.
3
I think that could get you into boiling hot water in some states. Not a good idea.
3
I do not think home owners insurance covers anything used for business.
3
If it is a choice between throwing people on the streets or saving a landlord, politicians will go with the people. The federal government has to get back into the low cost housing business. The market will not/can not supply low cost housing.
2
That is a very tough call.
2
Sometimes you have to think this guy makes these stories up.
2
Some say extortion, I like the term shake down operation better.
2
Chain snatchers were thieves that would walk up to a woman and rip off her necklace.
2
Amazon sold Trump's book The Art Of The Deal. Should Amazon Web Services end up banning Amazon itself?
2
Did you know Johnson has a black wife? And he has black kids?

Not every immigration story has a happy ending.

I started expecting this years ago when I had seen an increase in these real estate investing promoters. Housing could be considered something beyond investing, it is basic to living, like food. It was only a matter of time some of what you are seeing happen now would occur. There isn't a politician in the country that would support landlords over thousands and thousands becoming homeless. I suspect in blue states and Democrat party controlled cities, you will see more and more landlords getting the back seat in any housing crisis. Once started this type of thinking could only expand and become more common and more expansive. If I were a landlord I would be thinking about getting out of rentals while the getting is good.
2
I would expect this way of thinking to spread across the U.S.
2
Probably one of the illegals accidently brushed against a White female Progressive and that left her feeling assaulted.
2
Kshama Sawant must be smiling. This news is very good news for her.
2
Our city solved the shop lifting problem sometime ago. Any store worth shop lifting in went out of business or left years ago.
